The Rule Book;
General
- Absolutely no racism, or sexism will be allowed.
- Treat others the way you want to be treated. That means don't be rude to other people for no reason.
- Save all the drama for PMs, do not flood the boards will useless fighting.
- Show respect to admins, moderators, and other members, or you will be treated without respect.
- Don't whine to staff about every little thing that bothers you, please try to work problems out first before you come to staff members to help you.
- Please keep this in mind; whatever staff say, goes. They help run the sight and have just as much power as any admin member does.
Seasons
- Like in real life, there are four seasons on Equivation. Spring, Fall, Winter, and Summer.
- Horses may breed in spring and winter. And horses may birth in fall and summer, thus meaning a pregnant mare must role play with her baby in her womb for one season, then she may give birth to it.
- Force Breeding can and will be done in any of the seasons, but to birth a force bred baby you must wait until one of the birthing seasons to do it.
- Seasons are just guidelines to let you know what the temperature is outside so you can include it in your role plays, horses do not, and never will age according to seasons.
Ages and Aging
- A foal is 3 years old or younger.
- An adult horse is 4 years old or older.
- An old horse nearing death is 18 years or older.
- You may age your horse however you wish, there is no certain time a horse must gain a year.
- The only time we do ask you to age your horse is when it is a foal so it can become an adult. We say age your foal once a month.
- Your horse can live as long as you'd like at a certain age, if you wish for it to die of old age you can age it as quickly as you would like, but it must be reasonable, and then allow your horse to die off, meaning you no longer have that horse to role play with.
- Once a horse is dead, it is gone, no one else may role play that horse, nor can you. We do not have ghosts who roam around, so please do not ask if your horse can become a ghost, it won't happen.
Breeding and Birthing
- Horses may only breed in the seasons which allow your horse to breed, which is spring and winter. If you attempt to breed any other time, a baby will not become of it.
- You may fool around with your mate, but they will not create a baby at this time.
- Fooling around can happen in any of the seasons.
- Force breeding can happen in any of the seasons, and if you are force bred to in a birthing season you cannot birth your baby then, you must wait until the next birthing season, and role play with your baby in your womb.
- Breeding must take place in the breeding grounds, but fooling around can take place wherever you would like, just keep in mind nothing will come of it.
- Before you breed, make sure both horses post their stats to help a staff member determine what the outcome of the breeding will be.
- Once both horses have posted their own stats, which means you can not post your partners stats for them, you are okay to breed.
- If a mare posts her stats and her partner takes to long to reply with their stats, another stallion may come along and force breed her. If that happens a stallion may not interrupt, he was simply too late.
- A mare can have one child per year.
- After you are finished breeding, a staff member will come by and posts the stats of the baby, you can choose it's name and who will play it, but the staff member will choose the rest. Do not whine about what you would like the stats to be, or complain, because we will then make the baby a still bred.
- Defects and still breds do happen, but we choose these at random, so please do not be upset it you are chosen to have a baby with defects, or a still bred.
- You must give birth to a baby in the birthing grounds. Only the mare may go here, and she must post her stats, the father's stats, and the baby's stats that were given to her by a staff member after the breeding. You must also make one birthing post, and then wait for the okay of a staff member before you leave the birthing grounds to have fun posting with your new baby.
Fighting and Stealing
- A stallion may fight or steal for the following things: Positions, lands, mares, foals, and breeding rights.
- A mare may fight or steal for the following things: Foals, positions, and breeding rights.
- A stallion may only fight a stallion, and a mare can only fight a mare.
- Foals can fight but that is play fighting and that can be done anywhere.
- Fighting must take place in the Battling grounds.
- Before two people fight, one of those people must alert a staff member about the fight, and have them say they will judge it before you do any posting.
- To initiate a fight, the person who is challenging must make a post in the person they are challenging's land, and state what they are fighting for, and who they are fighting.
- A person has 5 days to respond to a challenge, if not, the thing the person was challenging for automatically becomes theirs.
- You may not challenge someone who has posted in the absence board that they will be away.
- Before you begin to battle, in the battle grounds, please post what you are battling for, who challenged who, and state who is judging your battle, then you are free to decide who will post first, and so on and so fourth.
- You each have 5 posts. 3 go to attacking, 2 go to blocking an attack.
- Absolutely no god modding or power playing!
- You must take some damage per each battle.
- We do not roll a dice to decide the winner, we simply base it on how realistic your posts were, how good they were, how detailed they were, and the ability of one's role playing skill.
- Judges will determine the winner after the battle, and will post the winner in the same thread.
- Please do not be a sore loser, and do not question the judge on their choice.
- You may challenge for these positions: Any position in your own herd, and the position of the king or lady of an alliance. But to challenge for the position of a king or lady of an alliance you must be of that alliance, and already have a land and 5 mares.
- A king and lady position can only be challenged for once a month, by one person, so you have to be quick and post your challenge first, or wait until the next month.
- The password for the joining board is: timeofcoming
- You may not challenge for the ruler or lady position of the realm.
- For stealing you must make a clear riddle or poem about what you are stealing and give away clear hints of the steal will be counted as void.
- Before you post your riddle you must make it clear if you are stealing a land, a horse, a position, ect.
- 5 guesses can be made by 5 different people, and you must state good reasons for why you think you are being stolen from, or your guess will not be counted. After 5 guesses or 5 days if the person did not guess or guess correctly, then the person has successfully stolen that thing.
- A staff member will let you know if the steal was valid or void after the 5 days or 5 guesses.
- All steal and battle wins are affective immediately.
Stallions
- Stallions must have a terrain before they claim a mare.
- Stallions that can not find a terrain and have not yet stolen one or fought for one can spend their days in the bachelor lands where they can claim one mare and bring her with him when they have found a terrain.
- Stallions may breed with as many mares as they wish.
- Stallions may force breed as many mares as they wish.
- Stallions can claim 1 mare per week, to make if fair for everyone.
- You may only claim mares of your own alliance.
- You may claim foals too.
- If one of your mares is force bred, you can choose to kill the foal if the mare does not want it, but that is only if the mare does not want it. You can also keep the foal yourself.
- Stallions choose who their lead mare is in the terrain, but can mate with any of the mares in his lands.
- If a stallions land is not kept active, it will be revoked from him and up for grabs again.
Mares
- Once you have created a character that is a mare you must bring her to the claiming grounds to be claimed with a stallion.
- If two stallions or more approach you, you can choose to go with whichever stallion you would like.
- If only one stallion approaches you, you must go with him.
- A mare can be force claimed.
- If a mare posts in the breeding grounds by herself, she can be force bred, and will have to carry the baby.
- Once a force bred baby is born you can choose to keep it, or give it to your herd stallion. If you don't have one, then you can just kill it yourself.
- Mares can not chose what position they are in a herd, the lead stallion chooses, but you can do whatever you would like to persuade him.
- Once a mare is claimed she may not post in the claiming grounds again, but can post in the greeting grounds which can be a place to find true love and make friends.
Foals
- Foals must stick with their mothers until the age of 3. Once a foal turns 3 they may go to the bachelor grounds, or if it is a female she has the option of staying with her herd, or leaving to go to the bachelor lands until she is old enough to be claimed by a stallion.
- If you were a force bred foal, you do not get to chose if you live or die, your mother and father do.
- Once a foal turns 4 it is free to leave its herd.
Those are all the rules, happy role playing!
